Mother's Day Love!

I had such a great mother's day, complete with gardening, reading books, a We Love Mommy picture and the best mother's day school production I have ever gone to.

Walk by the shore

Before our weather turned to rain and more rain we took the kiddos for a scooter ride along the river.  It was a beautiful day to skip rocks in the river.

Mariners Game

We drove up to Seattle a couple of weekends ago to see the Mariners vs. Detroit Tigers.  Elijah and Brad had quite a rivalry going on!

The last of those spring break pics!

Sorry for the lapse in blogging again, life just gets busy sometimes!  I'm going to post the rest of those great spring break pics and then catch everyone up on what we have been up to.

I love this picture of Vayla!

Group Shot!  Atticus wasn't so thrilled about it though...

So cute!

Continuing with the Spring Break pics!

Atticus in the bubbles!

Isaraya and cousin Marci

We took a visit back to the old 'hood and spent some time with Kim and Jim.  The weather was so nice that we were able to take a walk up to the ice cream shop

The dogs then gave Atticus a nice bath to clean off any leftover ice cream!

Next on the agenda was Impression 5 with the Bermans, Knapps and Lina and Vayla

Spring Break Part I

We had such a wonderful time visiting all of our friends and family on Spring Break this year.  We made a point to bring our nice camera with us so that we could get lots of pictures.  The intention with this was to have pictures of family for our walls and pictures of the kiddo's friends to have in their rooms.  One thing that's hard for us living way out west is that we don't see all of our loved ones as often as we used to so I felt it was important to have lots of current pictures on the walls.  We certainly succeeded in taking lots of pictures thats for sure!  Now I just have to find the time to go through all the pictures, have Brad edit them, print them out, and find frames.  Here are some of my favorites (so far)

April One Small Change

Before I begin trying to post all of the amazing pictures we took on our spring break in Michigan I am going to tell everyone my one small change for April.  In my quest to eat as little processed foods as possible I am no longer buying boxed cereal.  We are down to a tiny bit of the last box of rice krispies so we will see how it goes! One other kind of small kind of big change that we are making is getting rid of cable.  I am currently doing research to get us the best internet/phone deal but as soon as I find the best one we are done with the Comcast.  The one small change project is supposed to be done this month but I have enjoyed it so much that I think I will continue it all year, making one small change a month is perfect for a big crazy family like ours!

Our Family

This is a picture from a spur-of the moment take your kids to work day.  Blow this up and look at those kids eyes.  Gorgeous.
Just love this picture. Bubbs love.

Toilet Reclamation Project

The toilet reclamation project was a late night(post- Bubbs bedtime) venture.  Our toilet upstairs in the kiddos bathroom had been busted for a couple of weeks.  We waited for Papa to try to fix it. It posed to be a little busted beyond repair.  So we finally decided to yank it out.  It was a total team effort but, was 100% successful.  No leaks, it flushed and everything.

After the toilet had sat on the front porch for a couple of days waiting for the garbage, Elijah had the idea of using it as a planter in our garden.  So after a thorough cleaning, Elijah and Roo went to work painting and decorating the toilet.  Stay tuned throughout the summer to see what's growing from the Toilet Reclamation Project.
