Our Family
Toilet Reclamation Project
The toilet reclamation project was a late night(post- Bubbs bedtime) venture. Our toilet upstairs in the kiddos bathroom had been busted for a couple of weeks. We waited for Papa to try to fix it. It posed to be a little busted beyond repair. So we finally decided to yank it out. It was a total team effort but, was 100% successful. No leaks, it flushed and everything.
After the toilet had sat on the front porch for a couple of days waiting for the garbage, Elijah had the idea of using it as a planter in our garden. So after a thorough cleaning, Elijah and Roo went to work painting and decorating the toilet. Stay tuned throughout the summer to see what's growing from the Toilet Reclamation Project.
Papa's B-Day
In early March, we were lucky enough for Papa to come visit for his birthday. Shannon went to Montreal to visit Jaimie, while she did, the kids and Brad had a great time with Papa.

The kiddos made a Photo Montage for Papa for his birthday to take home and put on his wall. Even RayRay's Zuzu pet got in the picture.

March One Small Change
So my (Shannon) one small change for March is switching to all natural cleaning products that I make myself. I still have a bit of laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent left so I am going to use that up and then start making my own! I have already made wood polish, carpet cleaner (for that crazy puppy Snowball), wood floor cleaner and was using baking soda and lemon to clean the sinks. As everything else runs out I plan to make my own using the Make Your Place book, its such a great resource for homemade cleaning products. I also cut up some old t-shirts to use as cleaning cloths although I plan on using our stash of paper towels for dog poop on the carpet until they run out!
